Infectious Disease-Central Connecticut region--Seeking ID physician to join 3 others. Hospital employed. Practice 100% ID. The Hospital is a 414 bed acute care teaching hospital. Current opening for an entry level position for an Infectious Disease Specialist with clinical and academic responsibilities. Reporting to the Division Director of Infectious Disease, the Specialist will be part of a four member department with responsibilities that include: Inpatient consultations Outpatient consultation including outpatient HIV and Hepatitis C patient treatment Wound Care Antimicrobial Stewardship program Assist with activities of infection control and the hospital epidemiology programs Post graduate medical education for Fellows, Residents as well as medical students, teaching with appointment to the University of Connecticut School of Medicine at the Assistant Professor level NO primary care Active Hospitalist program to care for inpatients Shared call with three other ID physicians
