The medical center has nearly 150 physicians on sta ff representing 50 specialties, including vascular and neurosurgery and infectious diseases.
SERVICES: HSW covers an unassigned patient service, as well as consults and an expanding base of local primary care referrals. While the hospitalists currently cover the ICU, the hospital is developing an intensivist program that will eventually take over that coverage.
SCHEDULES AND COVERAGE: Hospitalists typically work a seven- on/seven-off block schedule, rotating nights. The group aims for flexible scheduling to accommodate the lifestyle and practice goals of individual physicians as much as possible.
COMPENSATION: offers a base salary with a competitive RVU bonus paid out monthly. Comprehensive benefits include malpractice with tail coverage, CME and moving expenses. The group o ffers two additional weeks o each year, assuming a block schedule.
