New hospitalist group forming in Norfolk, VA. They are part of a larger hospitalist group with other location in Virginia and other states. This will be a block schedule, 12 hour shifts. They are hiring 5 hospitalist and they already have a director hired. The average census will be about 18. No ICU work and no procedures. Work at only one hospital. Starting base salary in the $165,000 range plus an average of $30,000 to $40,000 in bonuses, malpractice with tail, relocation, health/dental, CME allowance, life insurance, disability, PTO and more. The Hampton Roads area is home to close to 1,000,000 people. Norfolk sits on the Chesapeake Bay.
