A Board Certified physician is needed to join a hospitalist program with an organization in southern Texas. The affiliated organization is a not-for-profit, acute care hospital which provides quality health care services to citizens in the heart of the Rio Grande Valley. The facility has 233 private rooms and is rated one of the top South Texas hospitals in the country for clinical experience in pulmonary services. Physicians are expected to see on average 15-20 patients per shift. Physicians will work 14 days on, followed by 7 days off. Once positions are filled move to a 7 on 7 off schedule. Call is every other day from 7 a.m.-7 a.m. There are no set hours; they are required in order to accomplish rounds.
