A hospital in northern New York is in need of a Board Certified Internal Medicine physician to assist in Hospitalist coverage over the holidays. The dates are 11/28 and 11/29, 12/24-1/2. Each shift is 24 hours, with rounds taking approximately 8 hours. After the physician is done rounding on approximately 25 patients, (s)he will be on call for the remainder of the shift. It is necessary for the physician to come into the hospital for admits. This hospital does not have a hospitalist program and this position is a result of one Internist in the call rotation not being available. Therefore, no hospitalist experience is required. Vent management is required in this position, but central lines will be handled by the CRNA. Competitive compensation and full malpractice insurance is being offered.
