80 bed community hospital in upstate New York is looking to grow their hospitalist program. Work a schedule of 5 days on and 5 days off, daytime shifts only. Then the nights are shared call with a 1 in 6 rotation. The average patients census is 13. No ICU work or procedures. Work at only one hospital with 50 beds and 80 long term beds. They have 80 physicians on staff. The hospital is offering a base salary of $170,000 plus bonuses, malpractice, relocation and full benefits. The community is between Syracuse, Utica and Binghamton and is about an hour to Binghamton and 1:30 to Syracuse and Utica. The local population is 10,000 and the serving area is 50,000. It boasts low cost housing, excellent schools, access to the Finger Lakes and the Adirondack Mountains.
