The schedule will be twelve hour night shifts (8p-8a) in a 7 on/7 off model, with 4-5 hospitalists working during the day and one at night; Hospitalists in this facility cover about 75% of all inpatient care and respond to codes, although intubation is not required; must be comfortable in ICU (which is mainly mixed surgical and post-op--no trauma). Cardiologists and pulmonologists are available for backup. Physician should expect to see 15-20 patients per day, BC is preferred and ACLS certification is required.
