Minnesota Hospitalist

A hospitalist program located on the Northern Minnesota is looking for a Hospitalist to provide locum tenens coverage. The program is accepting Board Certified or Eligible trained Internal Medicine practitioners. The schedule is 7 on and 7 off schedule (12 hour shifts). The average patient load is 15-18 patients per shift and duties will include rounding and 6-10 admissions, ICU 2-3 patients. The hospital has 118 beds general acute care,Fully staffed = 6 Physicians including the Nocturnist; 100% adult care in hospital. Some procedures may be required as you will cover the ICU, but critical cares physicians are on staff 24 hours for back-up. Must have strong vent capabilities and needs to be comfortable managing acutely ill patients as hospitalist as we are rapid response and code team responders. Comfort leading Cardiac Arrest team, Codes RRT.
