I have a locums hospitalist position in northern Minnesota. If you do not have an MN license, we can assist and pay for this license. It only takes about 6-8 weeks. The details of the position are below. The coverage needed is asap ongoing, however with privileges, a start would be July or August. Caseload is 100% adult care in hospital -Average number of hospital patients per day: Patients 15-20 per day. ICU: 2-3 -7a-7p and 7p-7a, can work 7 on 7 off or 5 on 5 off or even 14 on 14 off. Very Flexible. -Locum tenens physician will require hospital privileges and will need 30-60 days to obtain them. -Locum tenens physician will be respond to in-house codes. -Locum tenens physician will NOT be expected to provide backup for the ED.
Clinical Requirements for Locum Tenens Physician: Credentials accepted: Board Certified Residency Trained, but not board certified within 2 years of residency Required Certification for locum tenens: ALCS
Procedures: Required: Ventilation management Evaluation and management of acute volume / BP issues EKG Interpretation Preferred: Central Line Arterial Line PA Catheter Arthrocentesis Lumbar puncture Paracentesis Thoracentesis
