10. Western MA- established group in the Springfield region of MA and less than 40 minutes from Hartford, CT.Adding.physicians.group needs Hospitalist to replace physician who is leaving. Daily census is 12 to 18 patients per day, with the average being 15. Hospitalists cover the 12 bed closed ICU with 2 full time intensivists who are there for backup, consultations or outright referral when appropriate. The hospitalists also cover the 18 bed intermediate care unit. Hospitalists either are assigned to round on a medical floor or do admissions during their scheduled shifts. Day hospitalist: 4 ten hour days (varying shifts). 4on/4off. One night shift every 8 weeks, 12 hours (7pm to 7am). Joining a hospitalist group of 12. Also seeking nocturnist shift schedule is 7pm to 7am. Three weeks the schedule is 3 on and 4 off and the 4th week it is 4 on and 3 off. Excellent salary and benefits.
