Hospital in Waterloo Has a hospitalist program with five hospitalist looking for a sixth. 7 on 7 off schedule. See 15 to 18 patients per day. Position involves some rounding on ICU patients but patients are managed by critical care physicians. Work out of 366-bed medical center. $220k compensation plus malpractice, health, life, 31 days PTO on top of schedule, CME and 403B and 457 retirement plans, in addition a percentage of salary is given as an annual automatic contribution from the healthcare system.

Terrific family-oriented, university community of 115K. Wonderful schools with the opportunity for higher education at the University of Northern Iowa. Community has 85 miles of paved trails for biking and hiking. The city offers a rich diversity of cultural opportunities through the many art galleries, museums, libraries, theaters and a variety of performing arts. There are 5,000 acres of parks with 800 acres of lakes available for public use. The area has minor league baseball and ice hockey teams. NCAA collegiate athletics can be enjoyed at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. This is a great place to live, work and play not to mention a great city to raise a family.
