Our Community Hospital in Midwest is looking for an Internist to set up our Hospitalist program. The new physician will be the medical director of this program and be compensated for both the clinical and administrative components. This will be a shift model, building to three hospitalists in the beginning. No night work till we add additional hospitalist and then we might try to hire a nocturnist. The new director will be an employee of the hospital and receive a salary plus bonus, full hospital benefits, etc. The hospital will also be offering a signing bonus, relocation and loan forgiveness. Your referral base will consist of 8 Internal Medicine, 7 Family Medicine and 2 Pediatricians.

Opportunity is located in Central Illinois one hour from Springfield. Community has a local population of 20,000 with a service draw of 50,000. Children can attend an excellent public school system and have the opportunity of higher education by attending the Western Illinois University. Our communitys strong economy is built on agriculture, manufacturing, industrial and education.

With its 93-acre lake for boating and fishing, 5 miles of rugged foot trails through timberland and full-service campgrounds, this heavily wooded, 1,700-acre site is the ideal place to enjoy the outdoors. If youre a golfer, enjoy many excellent courses around the area and several country clubs to choose from. Other attractions include museums, dining, and the University. St. Louis is 120 miles and Chicago is 228 miles for get away weekends.
