This southeastern Georgia Regional Medical Center has opened up a search for a Hospitalist to replace one who recently left due to personal issues. They are prepared to hire someone immediately and they can't emphasize enough that their hospitalist program is superior and they are looking only for superior candidates.
This medical center has had a very successful Hospitalist Program for about seven years. They currently have three excellent physicians and this search is to replace one of the three. Call is 1/4 with shift times of 8-5. This Medical Center is just that, a regional medical center with a full array of specialists (cardiology, neurology, pulmonology, etc.). Their technology is some of the finest in the country and they are building a new state-of-the-art medical center.
The compensation package is excellent. They are offering a base salary of $200,000 and incentives that could reach $35,000 - $40,000. That said, this medical cent has brought 40 great physicians to this Georgia community over the last several years and have done that by thier out-of-the-box approach to compensation. Other benefits like vacation, CME, retirement and insurance are top flight.
Finally, their Hospitalists are supported by an excellent nursing staff (no travelers in six years), discharge planners and social service directors who are the best in the state, and a management team that caters to physicians. On a typical day, the Hospitalists see 10 - 18 patients.
This community is located in the heart of Southeast Georgia and are within 100 miles of Macon , Savannah and Augusta . Atlanta is 165 miles away.
