Georgia Hospitalist

Designated as south Georgia's newest metropolitan area and recognized as the business, cultural, educational, medical, leisure and retail hub of south Georgia and north Florida, Valdosta, Georgia is a progressive city that preserves its cultural heritage while looking toward the future. The newly renovated downtown area offers residents a unique variety of eateries, shops, landmarks and housing options. The city supports cultural arts with the Annette Howell Center for the Arts, a local symphony orchestra, a fine arts gallery and a theatre guild that produces plays throughout the year. South Georgia Medical Center is a 335 bed regional, full service hospital with a draw area of approximately 250,000 in a 13 county area of south Georgia and north Florida . This outstanding medical facility is known for its highly accredited cancer treatment center and open heart surgery center. Eagle's Hospitalist practice will further compliment this excellent hospital with the addition of 5 full time hospitalists. We are anticipating the start of this practice and have hired our first full time physician for a 2007 start.
