The schedule is 7 days on and 7 days off, 12 hour shift and alternates weeks of days and nights. 2 hospitalists on during the day and one at night. The night shifts are in house. The average is 17 patients per shift. No ICU work. The hospital is highly regarded in the medical community. The group is offering a starting salary is $263,000, malpractice and relocation. The physicians purchase their own benefits. Partnership after year 2. The local population is 150,000 people and the drawing are is over 300,000. The Pacific Ocean is only minutes away. San Jose is 40 minutes and 1.5 hours to San Francisco.
