Firelands Regional Medical Center and University Hospitals Ireland Cancer Center are seeking a BE/BC oncologist to successfully operate an oncology practice in Sandusky, Ohio. The oncologist will be asked to be the Medical Director of the Cancer Center as well.
The Ireland Cancer Center at University Hospitals is part of the CASE Comprehensive Cancer Center (CCCC) a comprehensive cancer center accredited by the National Cancer Institute. Case is in the process of building a state of the art $210 million, 120 inpatient bed, multidisciplinary cancer hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. This cancer hospital is scheduled to open in 2010.
Firelands Regional Medical Center opened a brand new cancer center in September of 2006. Green spaces, art therapy, comfortable exam rooms and infusion center are combined with the latest technology including a dual energy linear accelerator, brachytherapy, and radionucleotide therapy. Sandusky is in the heart of Ohio's summer tourism area with access to beaches, fishing, golf, and the Lake Erie resort islands.
