Seeking a hematologist/oncologist to join a very busy, highly successful private hematology/oncology practice. Established in 1978, this group is the oldest and the only independent oncology group in the Springfield area. It is made up of five physicians, including two hematologist/oncologists, two medical oncologists, and one hematologist. All practice general oncology. This cohesive group promotes a philosophy of progressive medicine, utilizing the highest medical and ethical standards.

Oncology Hematology Associates offices within the Holsten Cancer Center, the first approved community hospital comprehensive cancer center in the the Springfield area. The primary service area extends from North Arkansas to Central Missouri, a distance of approximately 100 miles. It offers a wide scope of services, including a breast center, Mohs surgery, radiation therapy and patient advocacy groups. Outpatient infusion therapy is practiced within the Oncology Hematology Associates suite.

SCHEDULE/CALL Five day work week Call shared 1:5 weekdays; 1:4 weekends; and shared holiday rotation OCNs assist with call schedule

VOLUME Average 20 to 40 clinic patients per day; average 5 to 10 inpatient census (Patient mix is 55% Medicare, 6% Medicaid, and 39% commercial managed care.)
