General Surgery - New Group Practice - Auburn Regional Medical Center in Auburn, Washington is assisting an established General Surgeon in private practice recruit a new General Surgeon to the practice. There is not a specific requirement for particular fellowship training.

The practice is solid general bread and butter surgeries. The practice has a strong referral base and it is expected a new surgeon will build their caseload quickly.

Compensation package will be very comprehensive. There is one office and the practice expects to move to a new office space sometime in 2007. Call coverage for the hospital will be 1:6 or less frequent depending on the number of total surgeons in the rotation.

Auburn Regional Medical Center, which is owned by Universal Health Services, is a 149-bed facility with 6 OR suites. We provide all services except neurosurgery and open-heart surgery.

Auburn is located about 20 miles south of Seattle and has an immediate area population of over 35,000. The service area for the hospital is over 175,000 and growing. It is a beautiful area. Housing costs and availability are affordable. There are diverse cultural, religious, recreational and educational activities in Auburn as well as close by Seattle and Tacoma.
