Southern Virginia Regional Medical Center is seeking another full-time General Surgeon. Call would be 1:2. There are eleven primary care physicians for a referral base. Most of the cases are general surgery, and no vascular is required.
This position will be either a private practice, with a financial subsidy from the hospital or an employment opportunity. The incentives may include the following:
* Income guarantee with no ceiling on earnings over the guarantee, or salary & bonus.

Southern Virginia Regional Medical Center is a new replacement facility [for the former Greensville Memorial Hospital] which opened in December, 2003 and is considered a general,acute care facility serving a market area of 31,000. The hospital currently has an active and consulting medical staff of 50 physicians and more than 430 employees, making it one of the top five employers in the area. A full range of services is provided by the hospital, including a 24-hour emergency room, cardiac rehabilitation, oncology, sports medicine and obstetric/gynecological services.
