South Texas Regional Medical Center (STRMC) seeks a BC/BE general surgeon to replace a very busy departing surgeon (currently near 75th percentile productivity):
Local community population of about 16,000; service area approaching 40,000
Share call with another employed, Board Certified surgeon
Modern 67 bed hospital; $6.2 million expansion completed in 2006
Three ORs and a separate GI room. L&D has its own suite.
MD/CRNA coverage; well liked by docs on staff
16-slice CT, fixed MRI, PACS scheduled for 2009
Modern physicians office with room for two surgeons; within a couple miles of the hospital.
