Full Time :: Gastroenterology
Lawrence :: Kansas
Horton Smith Associates

Position
Our client seeks a gastroenterologist to join a group practice in a beautiful Midwestern university town. The practice includes another gastroenterologist, infectious disease specialist and four general internists. This is an excellent opportunity to develop a practice quickly, with patient waiting times in excess of four months for screening exams. Physicians treat a diverse and challenging array of patients and diagnoses, due to the unique population of the University of Kansas.

The members of the group provide a good social environment and flexible attitude toward call schedules. The practice is located in a beautiful new office that includes an endoscopy lab, IV infusion, DEXA, an electronic medical record system, and staff pharmacist. A CT scanner and ultrasound are located on-site.

Physicians practicing in Lawrence enjoy a good balance of work and family life. Hassles are minimized with only one hospital. Located in the rolling hills of eastern Kansas, the city is safe, with excellent schools, affordable housing, and the cultural amenities that accompany the University of Kansas. The Kansas City metropolitan area is located only 30 minutes to the east.
