Big University Support without Big University Politics The Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies is a fully accredited, community based residency program seeking to recruit another family medicine faculty member to focus on obstetrical care. KCMS is an affiliate of Michigan State University and affords you the opportunity to enjoy nearly absolute autonomy while earning far more than your academic contemporaries and maintaining an academic appointment from a major Big 10 University. Youll appreciate the following: A wonderful teaching opportunity with great research support from two universitiesteaching is done in a clinical setting and the amount of research you do is completely up to you. Your quality of life is protected by a large call poolsupport for your high risk patients is available 24/7 and youll do very few, if any, non-vaginal deliveries. A manageable OB volume of approximately 60 deliveries per yeardeliver babies at two well equipped hospitals with a Level III NICU and resident support. A new OB stimulator is available for one on one resident instruction.
