KRC.0606.1404.01C Family Physician opportunity, OB preferred, is available at this 25-bed critical access hospital. Additionally, a designated rural health clinic is on-site (4 day schedule). Currently on staff are three family physicians, one general surgeon, and three mid-level practitioners. Call coverage is 1:5 for ER and 1:3 for OB. There are well established medical services in the community. Hospital services include acute care, intermediate care, ER, laboratory, x-ray, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, specialty clinics, cardiac rehab, skilled nursing, and chemotherapy administration. Salary: $150,000 plus incentives. Benefits include health insurance, retirement program, 2 weeks vacation, additional time-off days, paid malpractice, CME allowance, relocation, and possible loan repayment. This county seat is located on a creek in Northwest Kansas. Today, travelers access the county by highway, and a new runway allows for small plane traffic at the local airport. It is an attractive city with a beautiful hillside park on the south side of town and a bustling shopping district downtown. There are several attractions to see in the area, including a stagecoach station, fishing at a reservoir close to town, a state park with an adobe house and school, and a wildlife area that offers a variety of outdoor recreation around the lake including swimming, boating, fishing, camping, hunting, hiking, and wildlife or bird watching.
