Eligibility for Loan Repayment up to $20,000.00 per Year through the IHS and up to $25,000 per year through the NHSC
This region is designated an underserved region and the Indian Health Services (IHS) and National Health Service Corp (NHSC) has loan repayment programs available. Loan repayment is not guaranteed with offer of employment, as all employees must apply directly through the organization.
Benefits & Compensation
Compensation is market competitive. Benefits are excellent with extremely low co-pays for full health insurance. A single person pays just $13 bi-weekly, a family $39 bi-weekly. General Clinical Practice Description
Full spectrum, hospital based regional health care system with 50 beds, Level IV Trauma Center; routine and surgical OB; family practice, pediatric and specialty clinics, as well as dental, optometry, physical therapy providers. Regional medical care is supported by full spectrum lab services, 24-hour teleradiology, telemedicine, specialty consultations and medevac services.
Family Medicine Practice Description
Full spectrum, cradle to grave, family medicine services
Care for acute and chronically ill adults, well and sick children and complete pregnancy care
Patient panels range from 1500-2000 village and Bethel patients
No call
Opportunity to work additional hours in ER or as hospitalist.
" Outpatient continuity clinics including prenatals
" Telephone consultations with health aides in villages
" Village visits 2-4 weeks per year (goal)
" Supervise and mentor students and residents
" Mentor and act as consultants for NPs and PAs
" May do OB if trained & experienced
" May do endoscopies, tubals, outpatient surgical procedures and C-sections if trained and experienced
" May be asked to be a collaborative physician for PAs

Salary: $161,489 - $201,861

ABMS BE/BC; US Residency Trained; Must be Board Certified within two years of Residency Training
Our facility administers a comprehensive health care delivery system for 50 rural communities in southwest Alaska. The system includes community clinics, sub- regional clinics, a regional hospital, dental services, behavioral health services including substance abuse counseling and treatment, health promotion and disease prevention programs, and environmental health services.
Our facility is a Tribal Organization authorized by each the 58 federally recognized Tribal councils its service area to negotiate with the Federal Indian Health Service to provide health care services under Title III of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act of 1975.
