Our Hospital is searching for an Family Practice or Urgent Care physician that is comfortable seeing pediatric patients to develop an office based out-patient practice. This will be a Hospital employed position and will be located in McElhattan, PA, an area just east of Lock Haven. This position will provide a competitive salary in addition to a full fringe benefit package and possible medical education debt repayment.
Our Medical Center is a 197-bed facility located in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, about 40 miles Northeast of State College, home to Penn State, and 40 miles Southwest of Williamsport. The town population of Lock Haven is about 10,000 while Lock Haven Medical Center has a service population of over 40,000.
The City of Lock Haven was originally settled in the late 1700s, when a log house fort and stockade were constructed as a defense against attacks from the local Indians. Known as Fort Reed, it was one of many frontier forts situated along the banks of the Susquehanna River.
