Upstate New York Short or Long Term Locums to Perm
Here are the details on the Upstate New York position: Physician will work Monday Friday, 8:00 am 5:00 pm doing primarily outpatient work. Physician will participate in group call rotation of 1:5. This includes 1:4 weeknights; 1:3 weekends. If on Fri. night will help on rounds on Sat. and Sun morning. Physician will assess patients and do initial physical for patients going to ICU but there is a Critical Care Counsel who will manage it, if you want. Physician will be part of the Health Center, which currently consists of 3 Internist, 2 Family Practice physicians, 1 Hospitalist and 2 Physician Assistants. The office is located on the campus in an adjacent medical office building. Patients are usually age 16 and older. Inpatient census is approximately 20. We have a dedicated Hospitalist. Ideally wed like this person to help round as needed depending on the inpatient census. 3 to 4 hospital patients a day. Admissions range from 0-6 on any given day. The norm is 2-3. We are a level II trauma center with advanced services such as neurosurgery and CT surgery. Our sub-specialty support is quite good. We have three Intensivists that cover the ICU full-time on a rotating basis.
