Family Practice in Las Vegas, NV - Valley Health System hospitals in Las Vegas are currently assisting multiple existing practices in their recruitment of new Family Practice physicians to Las Vegas. Practice options are diverse and vary from joining a single physician practice to joining a single specialty practice. Practices are located throughout the communities of Las Vegas on and/or near campuses of the hospitals. Practice duties may include options of all clinic / office hours of patient care to a combination practice of office and hospital work depending on the practice position and preferences of the physician candidate. Practice procedure options vary from those of all traditional family practice or may include the option to do some aesthetics, wellness / preventative care, women's health, weight loss management, osteopathics and/or urgent care. There is great need for primary care physicians in Las Vegas and it is expected with each opportunity a new physician will become very busy in practice in a short time.

Valley Health System includes Desert Springs Hospital Medical Center, Summerlin Hospital Medical Center, Spring Valley Hospital Medical Center, Valley Hospital Medical Center and Centennial Hills Hospital Medical Center, all of which are owned and managed by Universal Health Services, Inc. Valley Hospital Medical Center is a 330-bed facility located on the western side of Las Vegas. Summerlin Hospital Medical Center is located in the far western suburbs of the city and has 118 beds and Desert Springs is on the eastern side of the city and it has 225 beds.

Spring Valley, which opened in October 2003 has 170 beds with a 39-bed ICU/CCU as well as a NICU. Centennial Hills is the newest hospital, having opened its doors in January 2008. Las Vegas is one of the fastest growing cities in the United States and offers a wide variety of educational, cultural and recreational activities. There are many wonderful family-oriented communities throughout the city. Las Vegans enjoy moderate weather. Hot summers are tolerable due to low humidity ranging from 20 to 30 percent. The sun shines nearly 320 days per year leaving plenty of time for outdoor activities. Cultural activities include shows and guest appearances by major recording stars, art and natural history museums. Sporting events include world championship boxing, the National Finals Rodeo, bass fishing, car racing, college basketball, the PGA Invensys Classic at Las Vegas and a Triple A Minor League baseball team.
