Maryland Family Practice

OUTPATIENT PRACTICE - FEDERALLY QUALIFIED HEALTH CENTER

This is an employed position in a private non-profit community health center. Currently staffed with 3 full-time Family Medicine physicians, 1 part-time family medicine physician and two full-time NPs. Recruiting one more full time physician. Office hours are Monday through Friday - 8:00 - 5:00. Competitive salary and excellent benefit package.

The patient population is about 60% under-insured or uninsured and 40% fully-insured. The facility is very modern and includes a peds dental clinic with two full-time dentists and a part-time hygienist. Behavioral Health services are also provided on a limited basis. No OB, no inpatient work. After hours phone call would be 1:5.

This FQHC has been quite successful in their pursuit of grants for special programs. They are an important part of the health care delivery system here in Hagerstown and are especially valued for their work with patients and families in need. They often coordinate programs with other social service agencies within the community.
