KRC.1007.0504.01 Family Physician without OB for 20-bed Critical Access Hospital with five Rural Health Clinics. Hospital Services include: diagnostic radiology (include CT Scan, Nuclear Med, MRI, Mammography), diagnostic laboratory, respiratory therapy, 24-hour emergency room services, acute and intermediate care services, dietary consultation, cardiac rehabilitation, diabetic education, wellness center, physical therapy, aquatic therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy.
Currently 2.25 Physicians, 2 Physician Assistants, and 1 Nurse Practitioner on staff. Call is 1:5 with a separate on-call contract for holiday and weekends. Salary is 100% production-based, guaranteed salary first two years of practice. Benefits include: unconventional investment plan, major medical, dental, vision, pension plans (401[a], 414[h], 403[b][7], 457), malpractice insurance, disability insurance, earned illness benefit, flex-spending account and paid vacation days available within Relative Value Unite Compensation Program. Located in North Central Kansas, this county seat is situated between two beautiful state parks and two state lakes within 25 miles of the city. Visitors and residents enjoy boating, sailing, skiing, and swimming. Swimming is also popular at the city's new swimming pool. Small and large game hunting is also superior in this area and the city boasts one of the best golf courses in the state. Cross-country skiing, horse-back riding, and hiking are also available.
The community is located within one hour drive of numerous 2- and 4-year colleges and maintains its own pre-school through high school public school system. Excellent shopping is located nearby, and numerous church congregations serve residents. Beautiful new housing and building lots are available as well.
