KRC.0208.1917.01 Family Physician without OB for family medicine practice. Family Physician will see patients in mostly out-patient setting, with some in-patient. No ER coverage. The 25-bed admitting hospital is next door to the clinic and provides the following services: imaging, lab, cardio, pulmonary, PT, OT, LTC.
Current staff includes 2 physicians and 2 ARNPs. Physician schedule is 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, four days per week. Call coverage is 1:2 weeknights, with some first call coverage by ARNP, and 1:4 weekends. Salary is $150,000 base, plus production incentive and contract duration of 2 years. Benefits include 20 days paid time off (vacation, sick, and holiday), relocation and CME allowance (5 days paid CME). Physician will also receive hospital employee benefits, which include: health, pension, dental, vision, long and short term disability. H-1B and J-1 visa opportunity. This community is located in southwest Kansas near the Santa Fe Trail and is home to nearly 4,000 residents. One of the country's best-preserved frontier forts was built here in the 1850s to protect and provide military escort on the Santa Fe Trail. Visitors to the fort can see living history programs most summer weekends and during special events.
Recreation and enjoyment is shared among visitors and community members alike at the public golf course, municipal swimming pool, outdoor sports facility, community center, and excellent park system. Visitors may also shop several unique antique and gift shops downtown and enjoy dining at a variety of restaurants.
