Family Practice Opportunity to join established four physician group to become full-time partner. Practices Board Certified physicians and experienced staff have a strong desire to provide medical care that is unsurpassed by any primary healthcare clinic. Services provided include: Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, Cardiology, Gynecology, Minor office surgery and urgent care. Office hours are 8:00 am though 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. Physicians see their first patient at 8:30 am. The office is also open every Saturday morning from 9:00 am though 12:00 pm to handle emergencies with the physician providing 1 in 4 coverage. Stress tests are usually done in the first appointments of the day. The in-house phlebotomist handles lab work on Monday through Friday starting at 8:15 am. In-house radiology services - including plain radiographs, ultrasounds and CT scans via the attached radiology suite. Practice is also involved in clinical drug trials with pharmaceutical companies. Practice precepts medical students and residents. Practice has averaged between 150-225 new patients/month for the past few years. Outpatient is all that is required. Candidate will have the potential to earn a highly, competitive salary. Ideal candidate will have ties to our surrounding area. Located between Atlanta and Athens, home of the University of Georgia. Walton County has been home to seven of Georgias governors. Walton County is experiencing rapid growth of 4.87%. The population in 2000 was 60,687 and is projected to be 107,374 by 2011. The number of households in Walton County is expected to increase from the 2000 Census of 21,307 to 37,639. The average household income is to grow to 82,146 by 2011. (Environmental Systems Research Institute, 2006 U.S. Bureau of the Census, 2000-2004). Walton County is a classic, Southern community with many historic homes and farmland still around that is experiencing the sprawl from Atlanta and Athens.
