Family Medicine Physician

Job Description: PhyAmerica Government Services, Inc. is seeking a qualified Family Medicine Physician for a potential full time position in the support of the Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Surveillance, Screening and Studies/Access to Care program at Evans Army Community Hospital (EACH), Fort Carson, Colorado.

Work in the Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Surveillance, Screening and Studies/Access to Care program at EACH Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. (excluding federal holidays).

Qualifications: Doctor of Medicine Degree (M.D.);

Current, valid, unrestricted license in one of the 50 States;

Successfully completed a Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or Occupational Medicine residency- training program;

Minimum one of the last three years in active Clinical Practice;

Sufficient experience to be able to adequately diagnose, treat and perform (to include, but not limited to) the following: surgical , GYN orthopedic, respiratory, cardiac, gastrointestinal, endocrine, and neurologic conditions; and

Current BLS, ACLS certifications Practice: Evans Army Community Hospital is a 340-bed facility which has placed in the top 10% of all healthcare organizations in the country during its most recent JCAHO accreditation.

Location: Fort Carson is located in El Paso County, Colorado, outside of Colorado Springs. The total population of Fort Carson is approximately 10,566. It is the home of the 7th Infantry Division, the Third Brigade Combat Team of the 4th Infantry Division, the Second Brigade Combat Team of the 2nd Infantry Division, the 10th Special Forces Group and the 43rd Area Support Group. The nearby Colorado Springs region is the gateway to Southern Colorado's "Outdoor Adventure Play Land." It is located 80 miles south of Denver's International Airport and 1 and 1/2 hours east of world-class skiing.
