Join group of 8 providers in Chico, California (5 FP, 1 PA, 1 IM, and 1 Endocrinologist) Physicians are officially self-employed but belong to a management service organization (MSO). Candidates can buy into MSO after 2 years if they so desire. Candidates pay 5% of collections as fee to MSO. Group has had an EMR system in place for 7 years. Candidates can expect to see 25 patients per day in clinic. Physicians generally work a 4 to 4.5 day workweek. Group is replacing FP who left the area to take a hospitalist position. Physician would inherit a 60 to 70% full practice. Physicians can do inpatient work if they so desire or they can have a purely outpatient practice and make use of the hospitalist program. About 1/2 of the physicians in group use hospitalist program. Local hospital will provide an income guarantee to get candidate started, probably in $160K range. A full benefit package is offered thru MSO. Financial potential in the $220K range for those candidates with a strong work ethic. Chico is a beautiful community of 110K with 2 local colleges and easy access to the mountains!!

The town has two colleges, a large park (Bidwell) runs through the center of the urban area and easy access to the Sierra Nevada and Coastal Range mountains for recreation. Their four distinct seasons make it a beautiful place to be year-round!
