seeking 1-3 full time board certified or board eligible physicians to staff our Show Low, Arizona clinic. This is a new clinic location for NCHC and is located in the White Mountains of eastern Arizona. We will be opening our doors in July 2009. This is an outpatient opportunity with phone call 1 in 8 weeks. No OB. Providers can work Monday through Friday 8am-5pm with 4 X 10 hour shifts possible. Part time possible as well. During an 8 hour shift providers are expected to see 18-24 patients per day. NCHC provides health care services for the underserved. We are a growing, fast-paced, non-profit community health center with a mission to provide accessible, affordable, comprehensible quality primary health care in an atmosphere of respect, dignity, and cultural sensitivity. North Country is a freestanding delivery model through which comprehensive, preventive primary care, dental care, outreach programs, and training/education services are offered across the life cycle of all people of Northern Arizona. The health and well being of patients and community alike are promoted through direct services, training/education, outreach, and advocacy. NCHC is a 501(c) three (3) facility with 10 clinics, 55 professional providers and 275 employees. Our combined facilities received 103,000 patient visits across northern Arizona in FY 2007-08. The payer mix is 20% sliding fee scale; 14% Medicare; 36% AHCCCS/Medicaid; 30% Private Insurance; 50% White; 26% Hispanic; 8% American Indian & 3% Black. It is nestled in the tall pines of the Rim Country, 47 miles south of Holbrook and U.S. 40. North Country has received a grant to open a community health center in Show Low. We will use our existing infrastructure which includes centralized billing, human resources, finance and administrationvto open a new clinic in Show Low. We look forward to establishing relationships with the local health care community.
