An exceptional opportunity exists for a BC/BE Endocrinologist to join a very busy 3 physician practice. The new physician would share clinical duties with 2-3 other endocrinologists in the office practice and shared consultation service for the hospital. Each physician sees about 18-20 patients daily between 8 am and 4:30pm, with an hour midday break. Hospital call is for consultation only-no direct admits. 12-15 pts are followed daily, mostly for diabetes management, with and average of 2-3 new consults per day. Night call requires phone response. This service is shared by 4 MDs, done a week at a time, and office time is reduced on call weeks to conduct rounds. Morning office hrs are suspended on call weeks. The office consists of an in-office lab, 1 LPN/provider and in addition, integrated into the practice is an active diabetes education program, directed by a senior CDE coordinator with 3 additional fulltime CDEs. This program serves the community and also provides daily follow-up and telephone triage services to practice pts that are having blood glucose management problems.
