Endocrinologist

  • This is a community-based consultative endocrinology practice.

  • The endocrinologist will staff two clinics

  • The practice provides consultative services at two separate medical faciliites.

  • This physician will have deidcated exam rooms and a medical assistant.

  • Ancillary services include a full-service lab, imaging, and a pharmacy.

    • THE PRACTICE

    The largest medical group on Staten Island, offers total medical care under one roof. Patients can see a primary care physician, a specialist in any one of 20 specialties, or make appointments for non-urgent care. The group provides care as late as 9 PM, including weekends and holidays. The physicians are proud to serve 44,000 patients from two locations.

    This group offers comprehensive care under one roof. Its staff can meet the medical needs of patients of all ages, from infants to seniors. Skilled physicians specialize in adult medicine, pediatrics, family medicine, allergy, cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, ENT, gastroenterology, gerontology, hematology/oncology, neurology, obstetrics/gynecology, optometry, ophthalmology, orthopedics, physiatry, podiatry, pulmonology, and urology.

    COMMUNITY

    Staten Island is one of the five boroughs of New York City. It is an island to the west of the Verrazano Narrows at the entrance to New York Harbor. It has an estimated population of approximately 463,000 and is the fastest growing county in New York state. It is probably the least known of its four sisters, the Bronx, Queens, Manhattan, and Brooklyn. The setting is rustically suburban with an urban feel.

    This island is separated from Long Island by the Narrows and from mainland New Jersey by the Arthur Kill and Kill Van Kull. It is connected to surrounding land masses by numerous bridges. Brooklyn can be accessed by the Verrazano Narrows Bridge, by ferry, and by rail. Proably the most notable transporation is the Staten Island Ferry, which has hourly departures and arrivals. It takes 25 minutes to make the crossing from Staten Island to Manhattan by ferry.

    Staten Island has scattered beaches and lakes throughout the island and the largest area of parkland in New York City, with an extensive greenbelt that laces the island with woodland trails. Its open spaces and historic areas are now incorporated into the Gateway National Recreation Area, part of the National Park System. The William T. Davis Wildlife Refuge is ideal for New York City nature lovers.

    Like much of New York City, Staten Island has a large ethnic propulation, the largest segmnents being Italian (45%) and Irish (15%).
