Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare St. Joseph is a 595-bed facility and is part of Wheaton Franciscan System. The Emergency Department is a Level III trauma center and consists of 25 beds, with an adjacent 11-bed minor emergency area. Located within the Emergency Department is a stat lab that is dedicated to the department with the capability to perform the majority of lab tests needed by the provider in less than 30 minutes. The ED also has a dedicated radiology area as well as a dedicated radiology transporter, phlebotomist, case worker, social workers, and financial counselors. The Emergency Department is also supported by a full complement of on-call specialists including neurosurgery, orthopedics, oral surgery, plastic surgeons, hand specialist, and 24-hour in-house hospitalist. Plans are underway for a new state-of-the-art Emergency Department that will dramatically increase the size and capacity of the existing ED.

Qualifications:
All candidates must be residency-trained or board-certified in Emergency Medicine.
