Hospital Description:
Edgerton Hospital and Health Services (EHHS) opened its doors in 1923 and serves the needs of Edgerton, Milton, Janesville, and the surrounding area. This 25-bed, critical care access hospitals services include a 61-bed skilled nursing unit, acute care and swing bed program, comprehensive cardiac, physical, occupational, and speech rehabilitation services, sleep study program, and full diagnostic capabilities. A new facility is under construction with a planned opening in 2009. The Emergency Department sees approximately 6,500 patients per year. Both radiology and laboratory/stat lab services are available in-house. CT and MRI services are also available.

Location Description:
Located in the rock-ribbed hills of northern Rock County in south central Wisconsin, Edgerton was established in the early 1840s. Its current population is approximately 5,000. Edgertons quiet, safe community is within minutes of several large metropolitan areas and only a couple of hours from both Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Chicago, Illinois. Once known as the Tobacco Capital of the World, Edgerton is known for its rich agricultural resources. Numerous colleges and universities are located nearby, including Beloit College, Edgewood College, and the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Edgertons high school has been recognized in the past as Outstanding International Technology Education Program of the Year in Canada and the United States. Edgerton is an excellent place to enjoy outdoor activities; there are local parks, lakes, golf courses, and swimming pools, as well as baseball and soccer fields.

Qualifications:
All physicians must be board-certified in Emergency Medicine or a Primary Care specialty.
