Staff Physician Needed in Central Virginia. Full-time on week days. We have one to two week assignments available near Emporia, Norfolk, and Richmond periodically. Locums with transition to permanent is possible, if there is mutual interest between you and the client. Outpatient medicine only with light call and no hospital duties. We have similar positions available in Maryland. Correctional Medicine offers regular hours, light call or no call, no overhead, no hospital rounds, and a reasonable work load. Most physicians who try correctional medicine find that they like it and it broadens their knowledge of medicine with each assignment. We need physicians who are fully residency trained in internal medicine or family practice. The clinic staff handles the administrative details and this lets you do what you do best, practice medicine.
