Were searching for an experienced physician to become a core member of the Emergency Department at South Texas Regional Medical Center (STRMC). Located just 35 minutes from downtown San Antonio in fast growing Jourdanton, STRMC is a five year old community hospital with a well-equipped, efficiently run ED. This position is ideal for either an EM trained physician or a primary care physician with a strong Emergency Medicine background (at least two years). This position offers excellent back-up and an earning potential as high as $200K on an independent contractor basis. The ED contract holder provides malpractice coverage with no deduction from the hourly rate. Physician requirements are DEA, DPS, Texas License, current ACLS, ATLS, PALS with significant experience (2+ yrs) in emergency medicine.

South Texas Regional Medical Center is a 32 bed acute care hospital with an ICU and Labor and Delivery department. All pregnancy complications 20 weeks and over and all deliveries go directly to the L&D Department bypassing the ER.
