Northwest Texas Healthcare System is currently assisting the Emergency Medicine group at the hospital in their recruitment of a new physician to the practice. There are 12 physicians in the group ages 35-55 years of age and all are Board Certified in Emergency Medicine. They cover 1 hospital NWTHS. The group practices full scope emergency medicine and has been in practice for 15 years. Physicians work an average of 130 scheduled clinical hours per month. Regular shifts are 8 hours in length and there is 24/7 coverage. The group covers 49 hours per day in the ER and does not use physician extenders. Monthly schedules are flexible. There has been little turnover in this group attesting to the physician satisfaction in the group and at the hospital. It is collegial and democratically managed. A new physician in the group is offered employment for the first year that will include a very competitive salary based on a productivity formula. The benefits package is comprehensive. Partnership in the group is an option if mutually agreed after 1 year.
Northwest Texas Healthcare System is a 489-bed acute care medical center which includes an 85-bed behavioral health facility located on the campus. The hospital is a Level 3 trauma center with approximately 57,000 visits annually in the ER. The hospital is staffed by over 350 physicians representing 38 specialties.
