Hospital Description:
Samaritan Regional Health Center is a 113-bed facility and the major provider of medical services in Ashland County. The recently expanded Emergency Department consists of twenty beds, which includes a six bed fast track area, and has state-of-the-art equipment including new monitors and bedside registration. The Emergency Department sees an average of 27,000 patients per year.

Location Description:
Ashland is centrally located 82 miles northeast of Columbus and 60 miles south of Cleveland. The city has a population of approximately 22,000 residents and a service population of 55,000. Ashland takes pride in its rich heritage and in being a model of a small Midwestern city. A quaint university town with a strong work ethic and a love of traditional family values, Ashland provides quiet, friendly neighborhoods. A walk in the neighborhood without fear, fine schools, churches, and shopping are all minutes from home.

Qualifications:
All ED candidates must be residency-trained, board-eligible or board-certified in Emergency Medicine or a Primary Care specialty with extensive experience. All double-physician coverage candidates must be residency-trained, board-eligible or board-certified in a Primary Care specialty.
