A critical access facility in northeast New York, not far from Lake Placid, Plattsburg and Burlington, Vermont is seeking a locum physician to provide continual coverage in the ER starting in September. Ideal candidates will be ER trained or FP trained with some ER experience. This is a low volume ER with only a 4,400 census and average of 13 patients per day with busiest period from 9a-9p. This facility has 5 beds dedicated to emergency work and 2 overflow rooms. Typically, the ER is staffed by PA's that run 12 or 24 hours shifts however, 2 fulltime PA's have left recently and the need for a physician has become dire. Client is looking for about 96 physician hours over 2 week period to equate to full time.
