Starting December 2007 an Emergency Department physician is needed for 1 year to provide assessment and care in a Level III Emergency/Urgent Care area. The Kansas City VA Medical Center is a non-trauma emergency service. The physician on duty in the ED is responsible for the care of all patients presenting to either urgent care or the emergency department during his/her tour of duty (shift). ED physician is responsible for providing coverage during the hours scheduled (up to 40 hours per week, per physician including nights and weekends).
