Hospital Description:
Parkland Health Center Bonne Terre is a freestanding ED / Clinic facility affiliated with Parkland Health Center Farmington and BJC Health System in St. Louis. The Emergency Department has five rooms, with three rooms being private, two trauma beds, and three observation beds. The patient volume of the department is approximately 11,000. The Bonne Terre facility is more of a walk-in clinic and the majority of the patients seen are general medicine-related. It sees a high percentage of pediatric patients with very low trauma rates.

Location Description:
Southeast Missouri is traditionally known as the River Heritage Region and "old mining country." Nestled in the lush foothills of the Ozark Mountains, Bonne Terre ~ Good Earth ~ is approximately 60 miles south of the St. Louis area. This is a small town located in St. Francois county with approximately 8,000 residents, is where you can get back to life on the farm with nearby orchards, old-fashioned festivals, and a petting farm at Eckerts Bonne Terre Farm. For the more adventurous individuals, we recommend touring the largest man-made caverns in the world and scuba diving in a billion-gallon underground lake.

The Bonne Terre area is a perfect blend of Americas small town charm and big city amenities with metropolitan St. Louis under an hours drive away.

Qualifications:
Candidates must be residency-trained, board-eligible or board-certified in a Primary Care specialty or Emergency Medicine with Emergency Medicine experience.
