Hospital Description:
The Parkland Health Center - Farmington is a 130-bed facility that is affiliated with BJC Health System in St. Louis, Missouri. The Parkland Health Center - Farmington and Parkland Health Center - Bonne Terre are two facilities in St. Francois County offering primary care and full inpatient and outpatient services. The Emergency Department is a Level II designation and has eight beds, consisting of two trauma beds and six exam rooms, all of which are private. The annual volume consists of approximately 18,000 patients. Patients seen are primarily medicine-related; however, they do see a large number of pediatric patients, with trauma patients being approximatley 10% of the volume.

Farmington, a city of 13,000 residents and a service area of 75,000+, is located approximately 80 miles south of the St. Louis area and offers an atmosphere of simplicity and natural beauty. Three nearby state parks offer a variety of outdoor activities. At St. Francois, you may hike, camp, and canoe while Hawn State Park is known for its plethora of wild flowers and pristine beauty. St. Joe is Missouris second largest state park and offers the Midwests most popular off-road vehicle area.

Qualifications:
Candidates must be residency-trained, board-eligible or board-certified in a Primary Care specialty or Emergency Medicine with extensive Emergency Medicine experience.
