EMERGENCY MEDICINE OPPORTUNITY WITH CLOSE PROXIMITY TO CANADIAN BORDER!
Calais Regional Hospital serves the rural community of Calais, and is 90 miles East of Bangor, Maine. The facility serves a population of 11,000 people, with an extensive emergency department to cater to the communitys needs. The ED is 10% trauma, 75% primary care, and 15% pediatrics. ED includes emergency treatment center, cast room, minor surgery room, general exam room, and voice recognition dictation system.
Calais Regional Hospital Facts: -11,000 annual volume -24/48 hour max on shifts (8:00 am to 8:00 pm/8:00 pm to 8:00 am) -ED Nursing staff is ACLS certified
Calais Regional Hospital Offers: -Attending physicians on staff 24 hours in specialties such as Family Practice, Internal Medicine, General Surgery, OB/GYN, Orthopedics and Pediatrics -ED on-call room close to ED, fully equipped with TV, bed, and shower
Requirements: -Candidates can be Board Prepared or Board Certified in a Primary Care Specialty -PGY III also accepted -6 months current ED experience -ACLS/ATLS (required after 1 year of initial start date)
