URGENT CARE - LOCUMS TO START ASAP - Excellent $$$$. Paid Housing, Malpractice, & Transportation. KENTUCKY

Right now we are looking for a provider to work in an urgent care facility. We can accept family practice or emergency medicine with experience in urgent care or an emergency medicine physician. The physician will be working in a newly opened Urgent Care Center. The center will be opening on August 19. The coverage will be ongoing and there is an opportunity for locum-perm. The operating hours for the center will be M-F, 4p-12a and S-S 12p-12a. .

Our Medical Center is opening a new Urgent Care Center in downtown beginning Wednesday, August 19.

The center will be open weekdays 4 p.m. to midnight, and weekends noon to midnight. Appointments are not necessary and walk-ins are the only type of patients accepted.

The goal of the Urgent Care Center is to offer patients an alternative to the Emergency Department. Urgent Care is good for illnesses and injuries for adults and children that cannot wait for a traditional physician appointment, but do not require the services of a hospital emergency department. The Urgent Care Center also is conveniently located, will be less expensive than a traditional Emergency Department visit, and have shorter wait times.

The center will be staffed with a highly qualified team of licensed physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare team members.

Our Urgent Care Center differs from a typical physicians office in that it has procedure rooms for stitching lacerations and splinting bone fractures, a radiology department for X-ray services and a laboratory for on-site lab tests like quick strep tests, rapid flu tests, tetanus shots, and blood work. We also provide breathing treatments, high blood pressure stabilization, ear drainage, and IV therapy.

Urgent Care services include: Cold or flu symptoms Respiratory infection Asthma Coughing, severe sore throat Laceration repair and wound care Ear and eye infections Eye evaluation and wash Administration of intravenous fluids Fever Skin rashes Fractures, sprains and strains Stomach pains Bladder infections Tetanus vaccination Post accident drug and alcohol testing Diagnostic services include: X-ray Laboratory Blood Alcohol Testing Pulmonary Function Test EKG Slit Lamp Eye Exam
