Sterling Healthcare is seeking full time and part time physicians in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.
The Emergency Department operates 24 hours a day and sees 25,000 patients annually. The ED is staffed with ACLS, ATLS and PALS certified providers and has up-to-date life-saving equipment. Physicians work 12-hour shifts with twelve hours of physician double coverage during peak hours. Additional back-up is provided by a highly skilled medical staff and a competent and well-trained nursing staff.
Good Samaritan Regional Health Center features a state-of-the-art surgical department including cardiothoracic surgery, laser and outpatient surgery, cardiac catheterization lab, oncology, obstetrics and pediatrics, and nearly twenty specialties. This hospital is also designated as a Regional Children's Facilities for Emergency Care and a Regional Resource Facility for Emergency Medical Services (EMS). It is also a general acute care facility, a member of SSM Health Care System and fully accredited by JCAHO.
