Geriatric Medical Director - Exciting Opportunity!
Americas leading non-for-profit, community based medical group seeks an experienced Medical Director with a Geriatrics Fellowship to implement optimal new clinical applications, identify and recruit key clinical personnel, and apply knowledge in progressive ways to help the adult care community.
You will provide clinical leadership and champion development of care delivery protocols, implement specialty programs, treatments and services as well as be the expert in older adult population issues. You will also oversee quality and clinical research as well as raise the regions awareness of the organizations role in serving the population over 50 years old.
Your innovativeness, creativity, and strategic planning experience are all needed. This is one of the nations best in the design and delivery of services that empower and support older adults. They are looking for a leader to take them to the next level and be even more progressive and serve as the area expert on medical issues related to Older Adults.
The Medical Director will lead the development and implementation of care delivery protocols across the continuum of care as well as develop new Geriatric specialty care services to include a Geriatric Assessment Center. While serving as the senior clinical leader, they will recruit and supervise clinicians for their facilities (nursing, assisted living and retirement communities and PACE specialists) and Geriatric physicians and Nurse Practitioners to include Geriatric Psychiatric Services.
A Geriatric Fellowship is preferred with several years experience in the treatment of older adults as well as experience in overseeing health care management functions and progressive program development.
